Each stud is a low arch, wider than it is tall, with five pear-cut green stones fanned across the top and a row of clear stones running along the flat base. Two fine gold points extend from the base corners.
Below the green fan the metal is cut into open scrollwork set with clear stones, with a single rose-cut clear stone at the middle. The openwork is what keeps a piece this wide light on the lobe.
