A deep green oval cabochon sits at the centre of each stud, ringed first by a close band of small clear stones and then by a wider circle of rose-cut clear stones in open gold bezels. The result is a bloom roughly the width of a fingertip that covers the lobe.
The outer stones are bezel set one by one with visible metal between them, so light passes through the openwork rather than sitting on a solid backplate. The cabochon is polished smooth, with no facets, which keeps the colour flat and even.
